Tuesday

Here's what needs to be accomplished by the end of the day.

English
Complete Poetry Quiz 1 in Edmodo.

In your English books:
- Re-read some of the poems we have looked at these past few weeks.
1. Choose you're favourite poem of all of them.
a) What is this poem actually about?
b) Is this poem a metaphor for anything, if so, what?
c) What is the major theme of this poem?
d) Which of the following are present in this poem:
- Rhyme
- Alliteration
- Syllabic Meter

2. Choose your favourite line of any poem?
a) Write out this line in your English book.
b) Why is this your favourite line?
c) What is this line actually about?
d) What does this line have to do with the overall theme of the poem?

Hand it in.

3. Choose your favourite stanza from any poem.
a) Get some nice, white paper. Put the title of the poem at the top, centered. Write the author below that, and the date below that. Centered, large, and very neat, write out the stanza in fancy printing or handwriting. Use a ruler, be neat, make it good, very good. Decorate the edges with pictures or designs. Put it up in the hall.

Math
In your math books:
Draw a perfect pentagon. Five sides, 2cm long. Five angles, each 108 degrees.

On paper, draw a perfect hexagon. All angles added together are 720 degrees. You'll need to figure out the size of each angle. Label the angles sides.
