Science
A great experiment to do with mixtures and solutions. Students had to build a filter to make a solution of water as clear as possible.
Photos on our Flickr Page.
Homework: Think about this: What kind of machine could possibly remove the soy sauce from the water? What possible type of filter or machine could do this??? (Hint - It involves heat)

Photoshop Today

We are going to take a current photo and cut it into an old-time family photo.
Today is practice.

Steps:
Google images - Search:
Old family photo
Pioneer family
Old farm family
Something like that

Maybe click on Search Tools>>Size>>Large
This will make sure you only find large photos.

Choose a good photo.
Copy it.
In Photoshop - File>>New>>New image from clipboard

Choose a celebrity (Someone wearing most of their clothes)
Find a picture, maybe of them standing, or at least from the waist up.
Copy it.
In Photoshop - File>>New>>New image from clipboard

Trace the celebrity with the lasso, drag them into the family photo, and erase the photo as necessary to make it look like they are standing with the family.

Turn the whole thing black and white.
Use the blur tool to add a bit of softness to the edge of your celeb photo.
