We had an assembly today. The grade 7's learned how to earn a school letter (an actual, large, fabric letter, you know, like John Travolta in Grease). Take a look at the requirements, they were sent home today. I encourage all to go for it, to ask me how they can work towards it, and I'll help anyone motivated to try and make it happen.

English/Social Studies
We read part three of Leinengen vs. The Ants

We continued our readings on the Canadian Election today. Today's reading, about the party leaders, is posted to the right. After yesterday's work on prisons, education, health care, and environment, students were asked to consider what party they might support. Ask your child about where they stand.

Each day, we check out the polls on the CBC Poll Tracker.

Note: I never bring any personal politics into the class, no worries about that, I very much want to the kids to make their own informed choices.
